Moon Script

IMSDb opinion
A bleak film exploring such themes as isolation and what it is to be human.
Recommended viewing, but don't expect a great deal of action.

Very visual, very well done script. A wonderful concept that should be very easily executed and translated to film. Ultimately, this is a character study of a very ordinary man undergoing a very extraordinary event. The feel of the vast emptiness of the moon is there and the loneliness of our main man Sam is very clear in the pages. The story is very intriguing and a page turner by all definitions. The only thing that keeps me from giving this a perfect 10 is the fact that: A) it's twists and turns are a tad bit predictable (*spoiler alert*), as I saw the whole "clone" twist coming from a mile away. Although this may be one of the only twists I saw coming, the following mystery behind the clones was enjoyable and exciting to watch unravel. B) Sam Bell's character has very little to speak of. I don't feel that he as an individual "stands out" in any way. Despite the fact that he's essentially the only character in the movie, I never felt as though I knew him any better as an individual by the end. Although, as I said above, this is the story of an ordinary man undergoing the extraordinary, so maybe this isn't really a fault at all. Ultimately, I really enjoyed this script alot and can't wait until it comes out on DVD so I can netflix it. A great read for anyone interested in seeing what a screenplay should look like.

Made a much better film than it did a script. If this was sent in as a spec script it would end up in the reject pile for the amount of screenwriting don't dos. Nice story even if the premise is simple.

There is some dialogue just at the end of the movie where, as the ship is going to earth, someone is saying something about that he is fake or something. I am here to find out what is actually said. So where is it? If you need a rating for the film, it was extraordinary.

It was random feeds, from the news. The newscasters state that the Sam Bell that returned to Earth at the end of the film is giving more testimony against Lunar Industries, and that Lunar Industries' stock had dropped again.

Enjoyable story and enjoyed the movie, however, I did find one flaw in the continuity of the story. How did the newly awakened clones get to the infirmary?

Perhaps the one and only science fiction movie I enjoy. Sam Rockwell fits the role like a glove, Duncan Jones does a great job in his directorial debut, and the film squeezes a lot of action out of just one man and his Kevin Spacey- robot. Definitely in my Top 10 Films.

@frederick malouf it is a series of news reports, as marcus said, but I think you are refering to the funny TWIST at the end. The 3 most audible reports are:". Lunar Industries stocks have slipped a further 32% after accusations."". Clone 6, the clone of Sam Bell, has been giving evidence at CAA's Board of Directors meeting in Seattle.". You know what? He's one of two things. He's a wacko or an illegal immigrant. Either way, they need to lock him up. Line two." I. E. A conservative TALK SHOW.. Still cracks me up.
